How does Botox® Treat Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)?

Botox® acts as an inhibitor, blocking the chemical signals sent from the nerves that control sweating. Sweating stops because the sweat glands are unable to receive signals from the nerves.

How long does it take and what can I expect?

The treatment takes 10 to 20 minutes. Daily activities can be continued immediately after treatment (though intense exercise should be avoided for a few hours).
