Hand Treatments
Hand rejuvenation treatments can help restore the hands to a more youthful appearance. Various treatment options are available, so one treatment or a combination can be used to help achieve a look that your desire. Because our hands receive so much exposure, it is one of the first places to start showing visible signs of aging. In addition, a loss of fatty tissue also occurs, making our hands look bony.
What do you use to treat the hands?
At Fresh we use an injectale clear gel containing hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component in healthy young skin. The treatment increases the skin's thickness and stimulates natural collagen production, leaving hands smoother and plumper for about six months. This treatment stimulates the production of healthy collagen so eventually the skin starts to behave like younger skin on its own.
How do you treat the hands?
The process invloves a fine needle to introduce small amounts of gel just under the surface of the skin on the hands. Thereafter, we recomend a 4 to 6 monthly single maintainance treatment once the results are achieved.
Does it hurt?
There can be a little discomfort but we can apply anaesthetic cream or inject a small amount of local anethetic to reduce this. Some of our hyaluronic acid treatments already have numbing agents in them. We can discuss what is best for you at your intial consultation.
How often do I need the treatment?
Three sessions of five to ten minutes over six weeks are recommended.
