“My top lip is much larger than my bottom lip, but was worried after seeing some TV programmes about doing anything about it. Julie The Lip Specialist was amazing, she put me completely at ease and explained how the procedure could be done safely using dermal fillers, and I now have even, pouty, natural looking lips.”

Lip Rejuvenation

Perioral Lines

before and after

Perioral lines, 'smoker lines' or vertical lines above the upper lip are quite common regardless of whether or not someone smokes. The muscles of this area are quite strong and create a purse string effect; their action can cause tiny creases over time. Treatment of these lines may involve replacing volume, such as with dermal fillers or by decreasing muscle action with Botox®

Upper and/or Lower lip augmentation

before and after

Your upper lip may be smaller and/or thinner than the bottom lip and vice versa. You may just want to enhance both lips to create a more subtle pouty look, they may not be symmetrical and you want them to look fuller. This procedure takes experience and is like an art and done effectively with a dermal filler. Fresh’s nurse manager is an expert in lip rejuvenation and has done advanced training in this area. Her results have been effective, subtle and not fake looking!

Vermillion Boarder enhancement

The vermilion border is the border between the skin of the face and the lip. It's the guideline when putting on lipstick. Sometimes if a patient does not require a full lip augmentation but wants to enhance the lips just slightly, we can inject into this area. Please note that sometimes a patient may require all of the above treatments or a combination. You can discuss this at your free consultation.

Hyaluronic injectables
before and after

What is it?

At Fresh clinics we mainly use Juvéderm® which is an injectable filler made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance in the body which biodegrades safely.

Does it hurt?

You may experience some discomfort during the treatment, but as the needle is so small, this is usually minimal. Numbing cream can be applied prior to treatment. Juvéderm® has got a small of amount of local anaesthetic in so this can assist with easing any discomfort. We can also use a dental block to numb the area.

Will I bruise?

The skin is thin in this area and you are likely bruise. Applying a cold pack after treatment will help in reducing this. We would recommend that you take a few days off work. For example, if you work Monday to Friday and have the weekends off, it may be advisable to have treatment on a Friday and have Saturday and Sunday off and maybe the Monday. Don’t forget that in most cases the bruising can be slow to come out. We recommend if you live with your partner and don’t want him/her to know then you should do it during a time when you won’t see them for a few days.

How long will it last?

12 months

Who can do the treatment?

You can find out what is best for you when you book your free consultation with our cosmetic nurse manager. She is an expert in lip augmentation.

Permanant Make Up
before and after

As we get older it is common to lose fullness and shape in the mouth area.  Often our natural colour fades and the vermillion border reduces, making lips appear thinner.

Long term cold sore sufferers often lose pigment in their lips, giving them an uneven lip line.

If you're simply seeking fuller lips Karen can cleverly blend colours to give you the appearance of a sensual pout.  And you no longer have to worry about lipstick bleeding in to the fine lines around your mouth.

Does it hurt?

It does not hurt but can feel a bit tingly and can even tickle!

How long does it last?

12 months but you may need a small top up after 6 months. Wendy Stallard, our permanent make up consultant can advise you further.

What results can I expect?

The result is incredibly realistic and natural looking – and the result for clients who have lost their hair, for whatever reason, is brilliant. You can go as dark or light as you wish.
